THE DUKE OF LANCASTER'S REGIMENT 5th ANNIVERSARY BALL

A celebratory ball will take place to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the formation of The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.

On Saturday 16th July 2011 in the

Britannia Adelphi Hotel,
Ranelagh Place,
Liverpool,
L3 5UL.

Members who have attended previous dinners will appreciate the true warmth of Liverpool and will agree it is a most fitting place to hold such an occasion. The management have agreed to keep the cost favourable to allow a broader spectrum of our membership to attend. The cost of the evening will be £26 per person, which will include three bottles of wine on each table of ten guests, a three course meal and entertainment.

The Regimental Band of The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment will play throughout the meal, with solo performances from band members

Tables will be named after 'Battle Honours.'

All proceeds from the evening will go towards a new Book of Remembrance for The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, dating back to its formation in 2006. The Book will be held in Liverpool Cathedral.

Invited guests will include the

Lord Lieutenant,
Lord Mayor,
Colonel of the Regiment,
Commander 42 NW Brigade,
plus spouses.

In addition, families of our deceased, injured soldiers and Chelsea Pensioners who served with our antecedent regiments will also be invited.

The hotel is in the heart of the city centre, discounted accommodation is available by calling the hotel reception on 0871 222 0029 and mentioning the occasion. Limited parking for guests is available for £6 on a first come first served basis, additional parking facilities are close by.

Enclosed is a return for the occasion which I ask to be returned to the author no later than Friday 1 July 2011, Somme Day! The timings are as follows:
